EverestLabs offers a revolutionary approach to integrating AI and robotics into recycling facilities. Our streamlined process ensures a quick and efficient setup, with minimal downtime for your operations. Here’s a comprehensive overview of what you can expect when you choose EverestLabs for your AI and robotic needs:

Site Survey:

During the site survey phase, the EverestLabs team will visit your recycling plant to gather crucial information about your processes as well as information on any pain points the facility might have. With this info, we'll evaluate the best sorting lines for robot performance, all while ensuring they're a perfect fit for your needs. This thorough approach sets EverestLabs apart from other companies, as many only offer site surveys after selling their technology which can result in lackluster technological performance.

Vision System Installation:

After the site survey is complete and we have selected the line, RecycleOS will be placed on, our deployment team will reach out to you to discuss pre-installation requirements and initial plans including the installation date. Since RecycleOS can be installed on any line with little to no retrofitting, there is very minimal work that is required of facility operators before our team arrives for the installation. Ensuring there are hookups for electricity and air as well as establishing an internet connection is the only installation work facility operators have to complete.

Next up is the vision system installation. For this installation, our team will mount the vision system frame across the conveyor belt and a computer system will be installed near the camera. This installation is quick and easy, only taking one day. We understand the value of time and aim to minimize disruptions to your plant operations during our installations. Therefore, both the vision and robotic installations are scheduled for weekends or during maintenance hours to avoid any plant downtime.

Data Collection:

Once the vision installation is completed, it will collect data for 1-2 weeks to assess AI accuracy and determine the pick strategy for our recycling automation. We share this data with you on customizable dashboards and show you the material available for picking. We will work with you on developing a data-driven decision on what materials the robot will prioritize when sorting.

Hardware Installation:

After collecting the necessary data, we will return to your plant to install our robotic cell, which includes the robotic arm and its safety case. This takes approximately two days to complete and is often installed over the weekend or during off shifts. After the robotic system is installed, it is calibrated to ensure each system has 80%+ pick efficiency.

Production:

After a short few weeks, you can start using RecycleOS for not only robotic sorting but also for performance monitoring and customized reporting.

Ensuring Successful Recycling Robots:

Many people ask us what is required of the facility operators once the installation is complete. Managing robots can seem like a daunting task but with EverestLabs’ simple-to-use, all-inclusive system, the only thing required of MRF employees is regular housekeeping of the robot’s end-of-arm tools. Our simple-to-maintain design requires just one suction cup change weekly (or as often as needed) and occasional end-of-arm cleaning - both of which can be completed in a matter of minutes. EverestLabs also provides consumables, repairs, and replacements at no additional cost. To align with our sustainability efforts, we make sure our consumables can be recycled. For example, our suction cups are made of PVC  and they can be discarded into the #3 to #7 bale at your recycling facility. If your facility doesn’t have these bales, and you want to recycle them, contact us and we will provide you with information on other ways to recycle them.

You don’t even have to worry about closely monitoring the performance of the robot. To guarantee the accuracy and consistency of your RecycleOS system(s), we provide closed-loop monitoring of all our robotics using sensors-based audits that track robotics performance, as well as our globally staffed Robotics Operations Center (ROC). The ROC provides 24/7 monitoring of robot, AI, and plant performance and health for your RecycleOS system, alerting EverestLabs and your facility if our AI for recycling system needs to be checked on.

EverestLabs' approach to AI and robotic installations is not only efficient but also user-friendly, making it accessible to all recycling facilities. With the focus on minimal downtime, ease of maintenance, and performance guarantee, EverestLabs is paving the way for the future of recycling automation.
